Dr L B Sing, the head of Rasa Śastra department was invited as a resource person in the international conference on Rasa Śastra held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has presented his research lecture at there and also awarded by the vice-chancellor of the BHU, Varanasi.

1938 -was the period when India was struggling for its freedom from British rule. This was not only a political agitation, but also an urge to reestablish our cultural and scientific heritage, which was strategically put down by Britishers. With this patriotic feeling,Vaidya Sundarlal Joshi, established this institute with the objective to revive institutionalized education in Ayurveda.
With the help of financial support from donors, in the summer of 1938, he formed ‘Mahagujarat Ayurvedic Medical society’ which is our parent organization. The name has been abbreviated later as ‘Mahagujarat Medical Society’.
